Pursuantto 10 CFR 52.99(c)(3), Southern Nuclear Operating Company hereby notifies the NRC that as of February26, 2018, Vogtie Electric Generating Plant(VEGP) Unit 3 and Unit 4 Uncompleted Inspections, Tests, Analyses, andAcceptance Criteria (ITAAC) Item 2.5.05.01 [Index Number 564] has not been completed greaterthan 225-days prior to initial fuel load. The Enclosure describes the plan for completing this ITAAC. Southern Nuclear Operating Company will, at a later date, provide additional notifications for ITAAC thathave not been completed 225-days prior to initial fuel load.'
This notification is informed bythe guidance described in NEI 08-01, Industry Guideline forthe ITAAC Closure Process Under 10 CFR Part 52, which was endorsed by the NRC in Regulatory Guide 1.215. In accordance with NEI 08-01, this notification includes ITAAC for which required inspections, tests, oranalyses have not been performed orhave beenonly partially completed. All ITAAC will be fully completed and all Section 52.99(c)(1) ITAAC Closure Notifications will be submitted to NRC to support the Commission finding that all acceptance criteria are met prior to plant operation, as required by 10 CFR 52.103(g).
This letter contains no new NRC regulatory commitments.

- 1. The functional arrangement of the IIS is as described in the Design Description of this Section 2.5.5.
Inspections/Tests/Analvses Inspection of the as-built system will be performed.
Acceptance Criteria The as-built IIS conforms with the functional arrangement as described in the Design Description of this Section 2.5.5.
ITAAC Completion Description An inspection ofthe as-built In-core Instrumentation System (IIS) is conductedaftercompletion of construction to confirm that the functional arrangement of the IIS is as described in the Design Description of Combined License (COL) Appendix C, Section 2.5.5. This inspection encompasses the structures, systems, and components (SSCs) identified in the COL Appendix C, Section 2.5.5, Design Description.
The inspection (walkdown) is completed in accordance with APP-GW-lTY-004, Functional Arrangement ITAAC Guideline (Reference 1),which requires the preparation ofa detailed inspection plan. This inspection plan includes the use ofdetaileddrawings such as Piping and Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs) or Single Line Elementary Drawingsto perform visual observations and compare the as-built system to the Design Description.
The inspection results are documented in the Unit 3 and Unit 4 Principal Closure Documents XXX and YYY (References 2 and 3, respectively) supporting the Unit 3 and Unit 4 ITAAC 2.5.05.01 Completion Packages (References 4 and 5, respectively) and verify that the SSCs are physically arranged and locatedto perform the functions described in the Design Description. The inspection results confirm that the as-built IIS conforms with the functional arrangement as described in the COL Appendix C, Section 2.5.5, Design Description.
The Unit 3 and Unit 4 Principal Closure Documents XXX and YYY are available for NRC inspection as part of the Unit 3 and Unit 4 ITAAC 2.5.05.01 Completion Packages.
List of ITAAC Findings In accordance with plant procedures for ITAAC completion. Southern NuclearOperating Company (SNC) performeda review of all findings pertaining to the subject ITAAC and associated corrective actions. This review found there are no relevant ITAAC findings associated with this ITAAC.
