- 1990, Florida Power
& Light Company (FPL) submitted a request to amend Appendix A of Facility Operating Licenses DPR-31 and DPR-41 to modify the Turkey Point. Units 3 and 4 Technical Specifications (TS 6.5.2.2) to delete the specific composition list for the Company Nuclear Review Board (CNRB) and replace it with a more general statement defining the composition of the CNRB and specifying the requisite level of technical, operational, and nuclear management expertise for CNRB membership.
As a result of its review of this proposed amendment, the NRC Staff has requested that the quorum requirements included in TS 6.5.2.6 be revised to require that a quorum consist of the Chairman or his designated alternate and at least a ~ma'orit of the,CNRB members including alternates.
The current TS require that a quorum consist of the Chairman or designated Acting Chairman and four members including alternates.
The proposed change is attached (the attachment also includes the change to TS 6.5.2.2 for completeness).
This submittal supplements our February 7,
1990 submittal.
The basis for the no significant hazards consideration determination is not affected by this proposed change.
