Turkey Point Units 3 and 4 Docket Nos. 50-250 and 50-25 I Proposed License Amendment Auxiliar Feedwater S stem By letter dated May 7, l986 (L-86-I93), and sypplemented on February 20, l987 (L-87-79),
Florida Power 8 Light Company (FPL) submitted a request to amend Appendix A of Facility Operating Licenses DPR-3I and DPR-4I to provide individual specifications for the auxiliary feedwater (AFW) system and condensate storage tank, and to correct errors in valve numbers in Table 3. I6-I. The attached pages include additional changes, and supersede the same numbered pages previously submitted.
The AFW System Limiting Condition for Operation (LCO) and Action Statement 3 were modified to clarify their intent by referring to Action Statement 4 in the LCO, and referring to Action Statements I and 2 in Action Statement
- 3. Action Statements I and 2 are controlling if the operability of two independent AFW trains is not verified within the four hours.
Table 3.I8-I, Note I was modified by adding "(but not both)" to clarify the steam admission valve alignment to restore train operability.
Also, the action statement for condensate storage tanks and AFW system technical specifications were modified by adding "at least" prior to "HOT STANDBY"where applicable to be consistent with Standard Technical.Specification wording.
These changes have been reviewed by the Turkey Point Plant Nuclear Safety Committee and the FPL Company Nuclear Review Board.
The Safety and No Significant Hazards Consideration Evaluation included with our February 20, l 987 submittal is not affected by these changes.
