REPORTABLE OCCURRENCE 251-80-09 LICENSEE EVENT REPORT PAGE TWO Additional Cause Descri tion and Corrective Action:

Inspection revealed that the valve stem had separated from the disc in a manner which prevented. the valve from fully opening-The cause of the separation could not be determined.

The valve stem was adjusted to preclude flow restriction and a redundant isolation valve was verified to be. operable.

The valve will be replaced during the next refueling outage scheduled for November 1980.
