- 08 LICENSEE EVENT REPORT PAGE 2 ADDITIONAL EVENT DESCRIPTION AND PROBABLE CONSE UENCES-On Friday, Hay 23, 1980 review of radiographs taken in accordance with USNRC I 5 E Bulletin 79-13 inspections revealed indications of cracking in the feedwater nozzle to pipe weld area on steam generator 4C.

Specifi.cally, the crack indications are located adjacent to the nozzle to the reducer weld and are oriented circumferentially in the 18 x 14 inch reducer base metal.

The indications were confirmed by ultrasonic testing.

Subsequent review of radiographs and ultrasonic test results on 4A and 4B steam gen-erators nozzle welds revealed similar indications.

Radiographs of A, B, and C steam generator feedwater nozzle welds on Unit 3 were reviewed and no abnormal ind',cations were observed.
