SUPPLY SYSTEM NUCLEAR PLANT NO. 2 FINAL RESPONSE TO GENERIC LETTER 88-14 "INSTRUMENT AIR SUPPLY SYSTEM PROBLEMS AFFECTING SAFETY-RELATED EQUIPMENT" Letter, G02-89-116, GC Sorensen (SS) to NRC same subject, dated July 6, 1989 As committed to in the reference, attached is the final summary of collected data and significant findings of the Instrument Air design and operations verification at WNP-2.
Although none of the findings identified are considered to jeopardize continued safe operation or impact the ability to safely shutdown the plant they are the subject of continued evaluation and will requir e final resolution.
This will require additional analysis and further interface with equipment vendors.
As a
result resolution is not anticipated until September 15, 1989.
At that time a
follow-up report will be submitted describing final determinations and schedule for any remaining analysis and/or plant modifications.
