NUCLEAR PLANT NO. 2 RE/VEST FOR INTERIM APPROVAL OF REVISION 3B TO THE WNP-2 PUMP AND VALVE INSERVICE TEST PROGRAM PLAN The Supply System has updated the WNP-2 Pump and Valve Inservice Test Program Plan (Revision 3b). The primary pur pose of this revision was to incorporate changes to the Program Plan due to recent design changes to the plant. Additional changes associated with technical evaluation activities as well as numerous editorial, clerical, and administrative changes are also included. This revision of the Plan incorporates the latest information available as of September 30, 1987 and provides added assurance of public safety and material quality. This revision of the Plan is submitted as the controlling document gover ning the inservice testing of certain safety related pumps and valves at WNP-2. The current revisions of the implementing surveillance test procedures are based on the test requirements specified in this revision of the Plan.
Revision 2 of the Plan received interim approval from the Commission in the WNP-2 Safety Evaluation Report, Supplement 4, NUREG-0892 dated December, 1983 pending completion of a comprehensive review of the Plan. Since a comprehensive review of the Plan is still incomplete, the Supply System requests the Commission to grant interim approval of Revision 3b of the Plan such that WNP-2 will continue to have a legitimate basis for its implementing procedures.
