G02-79-54, dated March 28, 1979, GOB,-79-..89, "dated 5/9/?9 The Washington Public Power Supply System (WPPSS) herewith submits five (5) copies of Amendment 2 to the WNP-2 Preservice Inspection Program Plan.

Five (5) copies of the Program Plan were originally submitted to you via the r eferenced letter.

The Program Plan governs the preservice non-destructive examinations of the Nuclear Steam Supply System and supporting piping systems which are within the scope of Section XI of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel

Code, and pertinent augmented examination requirements of applicable NRC Regulatory Guides.

This amendment consists primarily of drawing and table changes which reflect as-built conditions as identified during the on-going preservice examinations.

The amendment includes a complete

description of the mechanized equipment which will be used for examination of the RPV for both the preservice and inservice inspections.

Parts of Section 7.0 which includes exceptions and exemptions to the Code have also been changed.

Procedures which will be used for all mechanized PSI examinations are being developed and will be submitted as an amendment to this program plan after they have been approved for use by the Supply System.
