St. Lucie Unit 2 Docket No. 50-389 Proposed License Amendment Technical Review Res onsibilities Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.90, Florida Power S Light Company (FPL) requests to amend Facility Operating License NPF-16 for St. Lucie Unit 2.
The proposed amendment will make changes to Technical Specification 6.2.3, Independent Safety Engineering Group (ISEG).
FPL believes that the proposed amendment is consistent with the Executive Order to reduce regulatory burden and with the Regulatory Review Group effort as discussed during the 1993 Regulatory Information Conference.
FPL considers this proposed amendment to be a
generic line-item improvement.
Approval of the proposed amendment is requested by May, 1994.
Attachment 1 contains a copy of the appropriate Technical Specification (TS) pages marked-up to show the proposed change.
Attachment 2 is an evaluation of the proposed TS change.
Attachment 3 is the "Determination of No Significant Hazards Consideration."
The proposed amendment has been reviewed by the St.
Lucie Facility Review Group and the Florida Power
& Light Company Nuclear Review Board.
In accordance with 10 CFR 50.91 (b)(1),
a copy of the proposed amendment is being forwarded to the State Designee for the State of Florida.
