- Hi h Tri Set oint In accordance with 10 CFR 50.90, Florida Power 6 Light Company (FPL) submits herewith a request to amend Facility Operating License NPF-16.
To achieve greater operational flexibility at lower power, expansion, of the Departure from Nucleate Boiling (DNB) and Linear Heat Rate (LHR) related Axial Shape Index (ASI) limits for the Limiting Conditions for Operation (LCOs),
and the LHR-related Limiting Safety System Setpoints (LSSSs) is proposed.
The proposed changes revise Figure 2.2-2 of Technical Specification 2.2.1, Figure 3.2-2 of Technical Specification 3/4.2.1, and Figure 3.2-4 of Technical Specification 3/4.2.5.
Marked up copies of the affected Technical Specification pages are included as.
A Safety Analysis in support of the proposed amendment is included as Attachment 2.
A "Determination of No Significant Hazards Consideration" is provided as Attachment 3.
The proposed amendment has been reviewed by the St. Lucie Facility Review Group and the Florida Power and Light Company Nuclear Review Board.
In accordance with 10 CFR 50.91 (b)(l),
a copy of the proposed amendment is being forwarded to the state designee for the State of Florida.
