By Reference 1, Indiana Michigan Power Company (l&M), the licensee for Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant (CNP) Unit 1 and Unit 2, requested a license amendment to adopt Technical Specifications Task Force-545 and to request an alternative to the American Society of Mechanical Engineers code.
U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Page 2 AEP-NRC-2016-77 As a result of discussion between l&M and U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff, it was determined that a supplement to Reference 1 was necessary to withdraw the Table of Contents pages submitted as part of Reference 1.
By Reference 1, a Table of Contents to CNPs Technical Specifications was provided as part of Enclosures 3 and 4 of Reference 1, with the marked up Technical Specification pages for both Unit 1 and Unit 2. This supplement to Reference 1 is requesting that the Table of Contents pages provided in Reference 1 be removed from Reference 1 and not approved by the NRC. The Table of Contents for CNP Unit 1 and Unit 2 are licensee controlled documents and will be updated accordingly upon issuance of NRC approval of Reference 1. By Reference 2, the NRC issued a revised set of Technical Specifications for CNP Unit 1 and Unit 2 based on NUREG-1431, Revision 2. These revised Technical Specifications eliminated the Table of Contents as part of CNP Unit 1 and Unit 2 Technical Specifications. The elimination of the Table of Contents was consistent with the original License Amendment Request by Reference 3. provides an affirmation statement pertaining to the information contained herein.
Copies of this letter and its enclosures are being transmitted to the Michigan Public Service Commission and Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.91.
This letter contains no new or revised commitments.
