Certification of Permanent Cessation of Power Operations The Reference letter notified the commission of Omaha Public Power District's (OPPD) decision to permanently cease operations of Fort Calhoun Station (FCS) no later than December 31, 2016, due to the economics of the facility. OPPD has completed analysis of the factors influencing the date for shutdown of FCS.
Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.82(a)(1 )(i) and 10 CFR 50.4(b)(8), OPPD certifies to the NRC that it plans to permanently cease power operations at Fort Calhoun Station on October 24, 2016.
