By Reference 1, Enclosure 1, the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission requested licensees of nuclear power plants located in the Central and Eastern United States to submit a seismic hazard evaluation and screening report. By Reference 2, Indiana Michigan Power Company submitted the requested report for the Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant (CNP), Unit 1 and Unit 2. Reference 2 documented that, based on the results of the screening evaluation, CNP "screened in" for performance of seismic risk evaluation. The CNP seismic risk evaluation input information will include the CNP site subsurface geology for response modeling of structures. As noted in a

U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission AEP-NRC-2014-93 Page 2 July 9, 2014, public meeting and documented in Reference 3, the CNP subsurface geology includes a beach sand formation layer which will be included in the structure response modeling.
