NRC INSPECTION REPORT 050-00089/13-001, 050-00163/13-001, AND 070-00734/13-001

Dear Ms. Engstrom:

This letter refers to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) inspection conducted on October 30, 2013, at the General Atomics facility located in San Diego, California. This inspection was an examination of activities conducted under your license as they relate to safety and compliance with the Commissions rules and regulations and with the conditions of your license. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selected examination of procedures and representative records, observations of activities, and interviews with personnel.

The NRCs inspection results were presented to your staff at the conclusion of the onsite inspection. The enclosed report presents the results of this inspection. In summary, the inspectors determined that you were conducting site activities in accordance with license and regulatory requirements.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter, its enclosure, and your response, if you choose to provide one, will be made available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the NRCs document system (ADAMS), accessible from the NRCs Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
