On March 12, 2012, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff issued a 10 CFR 50.54(f) letter to Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation (WCNOC) (Reference 1). Enclosure 4 of Reference 1 contains specific Requested Actions, Requested Information, and Required Responses associated with Near-Term Task Force (NTTF) Recommendation 2.3 (Flooding).

This letter provides WCNOC's 180-day response to Reference 1 regarding flooding walkdowns for Wolf Creek Generating Station (WCGS).

For NTTF Recommendation 2.3 (Flooding), Enclosure 4, item 2 of Reference 1 requires that within 180 days of NRC's endorsement of the walkdown procedure (Reference 2), WCNOC will submit its final response for the requested information.

ET 12-0031 Page 2 of 4 The enclosure to this letter contains WCNOC's final response to Reference 1, Enclosure 4, "Recommendation 2.3: Flooding." The enclosure includes a list of any areas that were unable to be inspected due to inaccessibility and a discussion of the acceptability of areas or components.
