On March 12, 2012, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued a request for information (Reference 1) to PSEG Nuclear LLC (PSEG). Reference 1 includes a request for PSEG to perform seismic walkdowns using NRC-endorsed walkdown methodology. By letter dated July 9, 2012 (Reference 2) PSEG confirmed that it would use the seismic walkdown guidance in EPRI 1025286, "Seismic Walkdown Guidance:

Page 2 endorsed by the NRC in Reference 3. Enclosures 1 and 2 provide the requested seismic walkdown reports for Salem Generating Station, Units 1 and 2, respectively.

Enclosure 3 contains the PSEG regulatory commitments associated with this transmittal. Any other statements in this transmittal are provided for information and are not regulatory commitments. to Enclosure 1 and Attachment 3 to Enclosure 2 are considered sensitive, unclassified (non-safeguard) information in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390, "Public inspections, exemptions, requests for withholding." As such, PSEG requests that the information contained in the attachments be withheld from public disclosure.
