Letter from Gary L. Shear (U.S. NRC) to Michael J. Pacilio (Exelon Generation Company, LLC), "Assessment Follow-Up Letter for Braidwood Station Unit 2," dated August 6, 2012 On July 18, 2012, the Mitigating System Performance Index (MSPI) for the Cooling Water Support System for Braidwood Unit 2 had crossed the Green-to-White threshold.

This was due to probabilistic risk assessment model change errors, operating restrictions on the cooling water support system and equipment failures. A root cause investigation has been completed.

In the referenced letter, the NRC requested that Exelon Generation Company (EGG) provide notification of readiness for a 95001 supplemental inspection. This letter provides notification to the NRC that EGC is prepared for this inspection. EGC understands this inspection will take place the week of November 26, 2012.

There are no regulatory commitments contained in this letter.
