WITHDRAWAL OF REQUEST FOR LICENSE AMENDMENT INCREASED SNUBBER SURVEILLANCE TEST INTERVAL HOPE CREEK GENERATING STATION FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NO. NPF-57 DOCKET NO. 50-354 By letter dated July 3, 2002, PSEG Nuclear LLC (PSEG) proposed to increase the interval for snubber functional testing in accordance with Surveillance Requirement (SR) 4.7.5.e from 18 months to 54 months for certain hydraulic snubbers. In connection with the proposed change to the Technical Specifications, PSEG also requested relief from certain snubber functional testing requirements of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (ASME Code),Section XI, "Rules for Inservice Inspection of Nuclear Power Plant Components." Based on discussion with the NRC staff, PSEG has concluded that the proposed change would be more appropriately reviewed and approved first as a Code Case by the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Committee.

PSEG hereby withdraws its request for license amendment and the associated relief request HC-RR-F03.
