This report transmits the findings of the routine resident inspection conducted at the Calvert

Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant. - At the conclusion of the inspection, these findings were discussed.

Within' the scope of this inspection, one- non-cited violation was observed. In addition, several y

operational events were observed that, when considered with the events that occurred during the

previous resident inspection period (Report Nos. 50-317/90 23 and 50-318/90-23), are cause for

' concern regarding the control of plant equipment and activities. We understand that you have-

an ongoing investigation to review the events and identify any common root causes.

' We are interested in the findings of this investigation as well as any corrective actions you have

p taken or plan to take. Therefore, we request that you respond to this letter within thirty days

addressing these matters.
