Your: response with regard to Violation-C.1, has been determined as inadequate-

in that no' satisfactory explanation was provided to describe what corrective <

actions have been taken,.the results achieved, and when full compliance will.

-be accomplished.

, In your letter, reference was made to the radiation survey procedure as

'de' scribed.in Item 17 of_the application dated' July. 28, 1983,. and the proposal-

to delete the'use of the word " daily" from the;. survey requirement. We have

. concluded that you have interpreted this violation as having been made.on the

.

basis of an apparent requirement to conduct daily radiation surveys- regardless

offthe utilizati'on of radioactive materials for u'se during nuclear medicine

procedures. The inspector' recognized that your nuclear medicine studies.are

not' performed 'on a ' daily basis, andlin any event, we realize that radiation ,

. surveys.of the areas in question are not-required on those. days when

radioactive materials ~are not eluted,~ transported or prepared for use by.
