OF JANUARY 14-16, 2020, ANNUAL INDUSTRY / U.S.
NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION NONDESTRUCTIVE EXAMINATION TECHNICAL INFORMATION EXCHANGE PUBLIC MEETING AND COMPOSITE REPAIR TECHNOLOGY TECHNICAL INFORMATION EXCHANGE PUBLIC MEETING On January 14-16, 2020, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff met with representatives from the nuclear industry for an exchange of technical information on the industrys ongoing nondestructive examination (NDE) programs, in particular as related to the current and emerging NDE issues, research, and lessons learned from the recent operating experience. Additionally, an information exchange on topics associated with composite repair technology for nuclear applications was conducted. The participants included the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) staff and industry representatives from licensees and vendor companies. Many of the licensees representatives also hold advisory roles to the EPRI NDE Program as members of the NDE Integration Committee. These meetings took place at the NRC Headquarters, Two White Flint North, 11555 Rockville Pike, North Bethesda, Maryland.

During NDE meeting, many NDE related technical topics were discussed and follow-up actions were identified. These new action items will be addressed in the next three NDE teleconferences in 2020 (tentatively scheduled to take place in April, July, and October).

M. Mitchell During composite repair technology meeting, technical topics related to composite repairs were discussed and follow-up actions were identified. These actions will be addressed at the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code meetings.
