Title	Notification of Environmental Report to Another Government Agency
Event Description	At 1337 [EDT] on 9/8/2021, V.C. Summer reported the overflow of the Nuclear Operations Building Lift Station (LS-3) to the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control. The lift station overflow was due to a broken discharge pipe from Pump 1 to the common discharge header. The overflow was contained in the valve vault, basin gravel, and the nearby concrete surface. None of the overflow reached any storm drains or waters of the state. This release did not exceed any NRC regulations or reporting criteria. This notification is being made solely as a four-hour, non-emergency notification for a Notification of Other Government Agency. This event is reportable in accordance with 10 CFR 50.72(b)(2)(xi). There was no impact on the health and safety of the public or plant personnel. The NRC Resident Inspector has been notified.
