Docket No. 50-482: Notification of Readiness for Inspection Procedure 95002, "Supplemental Inspection for One Degraded Cornerstone or any Three White Inputs in a Strategic Performance Area"

Dear Mr. Howell,

The purpose of this letter is to notify the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) that Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation (WCNOC) is ready for the NRC to assess the effectiveness of actions taken to address the Yellow finding related to WCNOC's failure to provide adequate oversight of contractors while they performed work that could affect safety-related equipment in April 2011 as requested by the Reference. WCNOC is notifying the NRC of our readiness for inspection beginning on June 3,2013.

The Reference also indicated the NRC intends to conduct an inspection of the substantive cross-cutting issues during the Inspection Procedure 95002 supplemental inspection.

WCNOC is prepared for inspection of the substantive cross-cutting issues in the areas of problem identification and resolution and human performance associated with themes in the aspects of P.1 (c), P.1 (d), H.1 (b), and H.2(c).

There are no commitments contained in this letter. If you have any questions concerning this matter, please contact me at (620) 364-4008, or Mr. Mike Westman at (620) 364-8831, ext. 4009.

Sincerely, Matthew W. Sunseri MWS/rit cc: C. F. Lyon (NRC)
