Items of Interest Week Ending September 10, 2021 Issuance of Close out Letters for Bulletin 12-01, Design Vulnerability in Electric Power System On September 7, 2021, NRC staff issued closeout letters associated with Bulletin 2012-01, Design Vulnerability in Electric Power System (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No (ML12074A115)), for Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, Units 1 and 2 (ML21225A432), Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Units 2 and 3 (ML21196A010), Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2 (ML21239A052). The staff has reviewed the information submitted by Exelon Generation Company, LLC for each of the sites, and the results of NRCs TI 2515/194 inspection in reaching the staffs closeout conclusions.
Issuance of Knowledge Management NUREG on Estimating Site-Specific Maximum Precipitation at Nuclear Power Plants On September 7, 2021, NRC published a Knowledge Management NUREG titled, Considerations for Estimating Site-Specific Probable Maximum Precipitation (SSPMP) at Nuclear Power Plants in the United States of America (ML21245A418). This report summarizes methods, data sources, and procedures used in the development of SSPMP estimates. Specifically, this document: (1) identifies terminologies, theories, methods, and lessons learned from SSPMP studies submitted to the NRC for review; and (2) suggests key considerations for the NRC staff when developing or reviewing any future SSPMP studies.

Items of Interest Week Ending September 10, 2021 The NRC Staff Participated in a Public Meeting with the Department of Energy on their Draft Waste Incidental to Reprocessing Evaluation On September 9, 2021, NRC staff participated in a public meeting hosted by the Department of Energy (DOE) to discuss DOEs responses (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No ML21264A531) to the NRCs Requests for Additional Information (RAIs, ML20311A546) on the Draft Waste Incidental to Reprocessing Evaluation regarding the vitrified, low-activity waste disposed of onsite at the Hanford Site. The purpose of the meeting was for DOE to clarify its RAI responses that were issued to the NRC on July 29.
This is the first of a series of meetings that will be held on this topic.

The purpose of this contract is to acquire supply chain risk management software and associated services. The period of performance is from October 1, 2021, through September 30, 2022 with four (4) option periods. The total potential value of the contract can be up to $2,628,898.04.

The comment period now closes on October 29, 2021.
