have selected Jacob Dolecki as a resident inspector at the Nine Mile Point nuclear power plant in Scriba, N.Y. The two-unit plant is operated by Exelon Generation Company.

Dolecki began his NRC career in 2015 as a reactor engineer in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation at NRC headquarters in Rockville, Md.

During that time, he performed duties as an operator licensing examiner and contracting officers representative.

Prior to joining the NRC, Dolecki was a multi-disciplined engineer at the Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory in West Mifflin, Pa. At Bettis, he provided engineering support for aircraft carrier and submarine spent nuclear fuel operations.

Dolecki is a graduate of Penn State University, where he earned a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering and a masters degree in nuclear engineering.

At least two NRC resident inspectors are assigned to each operating U.S. commercial nuclear power plant. They serve as the agencys eyes and ears at the facility, conducting inspections, monitoring major work projects and interacting with plant workers and the public. Resident inspectors can serve at a reactor site for up to seven years.

Dolecki joins Senior Resident Inspector Eric Miller and Resident Inspector Beth Sienel at Nine Mile Point.
