Diane Screnci, 610-337-5330 Neil Sheehan, 610-337-5331 NRC Names New Senior Resident Inspector at Three Mile Island Nuclear Power Plant The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has selected Zachary Hollcraft as its senior resident inspector at the Three Mile Island nuclear power plant in Middletown, Pa. He joins Resident Inspector Brian Lin at the plant, which is operated by Exelon.

Zack Hollcrafts experience, training and commitment to the NRCs mission will help ensure the continued safe operation of Three Mile Island, said Region I Administrator Dan Dorman. He and Brian will work together to ensure the plant maintains the high safety standards set by this agency.

Most recently, Hollcraft worked in the Division of Inspection and Regional Support in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation at NRC headquarters. Prior to that, he was a resident inspector at the Callaway plant in Fulton, Missouri. He joined the agency in 2009 as a reactor project engineer in the Region IV office in Arlington, Texas, following seven years as a submarine officer in the U.S.

Navy. He continues to serve as an officer in the Navy Reserve.

Hollcraft holds a bachelors degree in environmental geology from Purdue University and a masters in environmental engineering from Old Dominion University.

Each U.S. commercial nuclear power plant has at least two resident inspectors. They conduct inspections, monitor day-to-day plant operations and safety-significant work projects and interact with plant employees and the public.
