At 8:49 p.m. (CDT), September 7, 1985, an unidentified man telephoned the Minneapolis Emergency Center 911 number and said a couple of bombs had been been planted down river from the Prairie Island Huclear Plant.

Minneapolis police traced the call to a telephone booth where a similar bomb threat had been made on August 25, 1985, involving the Monticello Nuclear Plant. No bomb was found at that time.

i The licensee considers this latest bomb threat a hoax, so no plant search was undertaken.

How:ver, the licensee has increased the awareness of its security force.

The State of Minnesota will be notified.

Region III (Chicago) was' first notified of this event at 11:16 p.m. (CDT),
