DPR-42 50-306 DPR-60 Completion of All Activities Related to Generic Letter 9"-08 on Thermo-Lag issues (TAC Nos. M85592 and 'f.d5593)

We have completed the activities necessary to resolve the concerns discussed in Generic Letter 92-08, "Thermo-Lag 330-1 Fire Barriers". In our letter to you, dated December 31,1996, we discussed " . . . several small projects which also need to be completed prior to complete close-out of the inues addressed by Generic Letter 92-08.

None of these projects involve removal of Tbermo-Lag from required safe-shutdown raceways. These projects will be completed t,y the end of June 1997." We have not completed all aspects of these small projects, they will be completed in their entirety by the end of October 1997. However, we have reviewed the work remaining and have concluded that all of the work associated with Generic Letter 92-08 and the ensuing correspondence between us has been completed. Thus, our commitments regarding Generic Letter 92-08 have been completed, in this letter we have made no new Nuclear Regulatory Commission commitments.
