This refers to the routine resident safety inspection conducted by Mr. G. Grant
of this office an October 31 - December 21, 1987, at the Vermont Yankee Nuclear
Power Station, Vernon, Vermont. The inspection consisted of observati'o n of
activities, interviews with personnel and document reviews. The results of the
inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspection Report enclosed with-
this letter and were discussed with Mr. J. Pelletier - of your staff at the
. conclusion of the' inspection.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were identified by NRC
inspectors.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice", a copy of
this letter and the enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
