SUBJECT:

Fort St. Vrain Level of Property Insurance

REFERENCE:

NRC Letter, Pittiglio to Crawford, dated June 7,1995 (G-95107)

Gentlemen:

This letter is provided in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.54(w)(3) to report current levels and sources of nuclear property insurance for the Fort St. Vrain Station. Decommissioning activities at the Fort St. Vrain Station are complete and the NRC issued an exemption from the requirements of 10 CFR 50.54(w), via the referenced letter. This exemption eliminated the requirement to maintain onsite nuclear property insurance at Fort St. Vrain. Public Service Company of Colorado maintains a property damage insurance policy to protect Fort St. Vrain's balance-of-plant assets; however, this policy is not related to 10 CFR 50.54(w) requirements.

If you have any questions regarding property insurance coverage for the Fort St. Vrain Station, please contact Mr. M. H. Holmes at (303) 571-7633.
