Dear Mr. Woolley:
We have received your response related to Compliance Plan issue 45 for Paducah and issue 41 for Portsmouth transmitted by letter dated January 31,1997. These complianco plan issues concerned the commitment to specific codes, standards and NRC regulatory guidance. This action has been assigned TAC No. L32017 for the Paducah facility and TAC No. L320;8 for the Portsmouth facility. Please reference these numbers in any future correspondence associated with the codes and standards.
We will evaluate your submittal and the commitment to the various codes, standards, and '
regulatory guides. Although no further action is required of USEC at this time, our review may identify areas that require additional information. Compliance Plan issue 45 for the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant and Compliance Plan issue 41 for the Portsmouth Gaseous Difffusion Plant will remain open until we have completed our review.
