Revised Schedule for Installing improved Fire Protection System ,
in References (b) and (c) Vermont Yankee reported details of the Switchgear Room CO2 System modifications being performed at the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station and l informed the NRC that these modifications would be completed by November 30,1996. The !
purpose of this letter is to inform the NRC of a revision of Vermont Yankee's schedule for completing these CO2 system modifications.
, Although the majority of the new system will be installed by the previously reported date of l November 30,1996, additional time is' required to incorporate new design features initiated during the design review process. Therefore, we now expect to complete system installation by December 31,1996. Following installation, the new CO2 system will be tested to verify proper operation, prior to declaring the new system functional.
