I Proaram Reauirements This letter documents our compliance with Pilgrim Nuclear Power Plant Operating License Technical Specification 3/4.6.G " Structural Integrity" surveillance requirements.

Technical Specification 4.6.G requires the results obtained from compliance with the Second Ten-Year ISI Program be evaluated at the completion of the interval and the conclusions of the evaluation be reviewed with the NRC Accordingly, sn assessment was completed of the Second Ten-Year ISI Program that ended on June 30,1995. The fol lowing two items were identified for resolution:

1. Examination of residual heat removal / fuel pool cooling intertie piping, welds and supports: The relief request and resolutions are discussed in BECo letter #96-034, dated May 30, 1996.

NRC review and approval of the relief request is pending. l

2. Unavailability of documentation related to surface examination of core spray system weld #

14-A-10A: The surface examination documentation could not be located, but the weld underwent VT-2 and UT examinations as required by the ASME code. Since the integrity of 1 L the weld was established by volumetric examinations, the unavailability of the documentation l

was resolved by rescheduling the weld for surface examination during RFO#11.

Upon completion of the above items, the Second Ten-Year ISI Program wiu be complete. This closes the Technical Specification requirement to review with the NRC conclusions of the Second Ten-Year ISI Program evaluation.
