Catawba Nuclear Station Docket Nos. 50-413 and 50-414 I 1995 FSAR Update Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.71(e), pleas .ind enclosed the original and ten copies of the 1995 updated Catawba Nuclear Station Final Safety Analysis Repon (FSAR). l While the effective date of changes provided by this submittal is November 30,1995, cenain significant revisions subsequent to November 30,1995 have been incorporated in an effon to maintain the FSAR as up-to-date as possible.

Duke Power has recently initiated an aggressive effon to examine the adequacy of the company's 1 FSAR update process and plans to pursue additional measures to initiate a detailed accuracy and completeness review. Accordingly, based on the outcome of these effons, it may become necessary to submit additional updates to Catawba's FSAR prior to the next scheduled update.
