-FILE 0485.16 SERIAL CSC-7997 The.following list of work activities has been compiled representing necessary tasks.to halt the remedial soils work in progress and leave the work in a safe layup condition. -This list has been discussed with Region III personnel and updates of these stop work activities will be provided to the Region on a reguler basis.

1. All jacks will be locked off, jackstand vedges will be driven tight, and wedges will be checked periodically. The jacks will be left in the jackstand.
2. Auxiliary Building excavations will be secured in the following manner:
a. The drift in progress to CT 5/8 will be filled with lean flyash grout.

-b. The finger drif ts in progress to E/W3 s:ill be filled with lean flyash

~ grout,

c. .T he pier excavation for W17 and drift expansion for E17 will be filled with lean flyash grout, n
d. The slopes of the Y3/Z3 excavation will be stabilized with soil stabilization grout.
e. The sides of the long drif ts on Kc line will be injected with soil stabilization grout.
f. The sides of the E/W8, E/WS grillage. drifts, as well as E/W5 drop pit will be injected with soil stabilization grout.

' headers removed. Casings will be lef t ungrouted and capped. The perma-nent wells will lue activated to provide dewatering capability as needed

7. - For the Auxiliary Building, CPCo will take over building instrumentation monitoring.from Wiss, Janney, Elstner. The monitoring requirements during shutdown are.being included in a s--cification.
8. ,For the~ Auxiliary Building, a technical assistance contract will be written between Mergentime and CPCo to perf Im maintenance jacking as c

required. A specification giving the criteria for rejacking is being prepared.'

^9. The east'and west access shaft inverts will be capped with a concrete

. mudmat at approximately el. 591'6". Sumps vill be constructed to remove water collection. Also, curbs will be provided to prevent water collec-tion in'the E/W16 drop pits. .(Sump _ pumps will be installed at this time.)

10. Security. fences will be provided around the east and west access shafts.

11.,:The Service Water Pump System (SWPS) access shaft will be filled with

.flyash grout.-

All open excavations in the yard will be filled and designated as tempor-ary fill areas..

Some of the. listed' activities have been accomplished, per discussions between
