SUMMARY

The plant operated at approximately 98.5% for the month of August due to steam generator low pressure limitations following chemical cleaning with the following exceptions:

On 8/5/95 at 0600, power was reduced to 97.8% for the performance ofInstrument and Control (I&C) surveillr.nces.

On 8/8/95 at 1700, power was reduced to 97.7% for the performance ofI&C surveillances.

On 8/10/95 at 1800, power was reduced to 97.4 to repair a Loop 2 Overtemperature Delta Temperature (OTDT) channel.

On 8/13/95 at 0550, power was reduced to 97.0% for the performance ofI&C surveillances.

On 8/14/95 at 1400, power was reduced to 97.6% for the performance ofI&C surveillances.

On 8/16/95 at 0943, a turbine trip / reactor trip occurred as a result of a loss of condenser vacuum caused by tripping of the 'A' Circulating Water Pump from a failed field excitation rheostat and the automatic opening of the steam dumps in response to the resultant turbine i runback (LER 95-005).

On 8/21/95 at 0200, power was reduced to 87.8% to investigate and repair the 'A'

Circulating Water Pump Discharge Valve that would not fully open.

On 8/25/95 at 0600, power was reduced to 97.5% for the performance ofI&C surveillances.
