GANE (Georgians Against Nuclear Energy) respectfully attaches a copy of the letter from Dr. Robert-Boyd to the NRC dated December 3, 1993, ;
which you requested. Dr. Boyd forwarded us a copy of the pertinent rule and his comments on a map of the Georgia Tech campus showing the j reactor and Olympic Village which we are also including, j We want to alert you to the fact that this is the same Dr. Robert ;
Boyd who served as Radiation Safety Officer under Dr. Karam. He was ;
Radiation Safety Officer daring the 1987 accident which is reported in NRC Inspection Report 50-160/87-08 and 2-88-003.
We are also including a copy of a recent news report concerning the -
City of Atlanta's meeting with the NRC and Georgia Tech in which the
' City of Atlanta required Georgia Tech to begin a moratorium on radioactive dumping to the Atlanta sewers until proper permits are applied for, processed and granted.
