BIWEEKLY STATUS REPORT NO. 7 FOR THE PERIOD ENDING JULY 29, 1983 The status report below is in reference to the Torrey Pines Technology Program Plan, document number GA-C17044, Revision A,

" Independent Review of ZIMMER Project Management," dated May, 1983 Work was concentrated on the evaluation of alternative organi-zations including the recent input from CG&E and the review of the Bechtel draft report referenced in;the last report.

During this period, G. Wessman and A. Neylan of Torrey Pines Technology met with the following:

W. White, J. Dolan, and J. Dobbs GAP - T. Devine Udall Congressional - H. Myers, P. Parshley Staff The purpose of the meetings was to provide the status of the report and describe, in summary, sixteen alternative organizations TPT was evaluating. Feedback was requested on any additional alternative (s) which, from the perspective of other organizations, was considereo~ pertinent, or to identify particular aspects of the sixteen which TPT should ensure be considered. No recommendation or conclusions on the report were provided at any meeting.

Page Two At the meeting with Devine, GAP, ' /T received additional documen-tatien for consideration concern $ng MVPP/ GAP's petition to NRC to re-open licensing hearings on Zic.mer, which included additional affidavits from whistleblowers.

As of July 29, 9050 manhours have been expended on this review of the Zimmer Project Management. The volume of documents for review and the number of outside personnel to be interviewed have been greater than anticipated; the project was approximately three weeks behind the Project Schedule given in the revised Program Plan.
