, - During the Unit 11990 Refuel 7 and Maintenance Outage, the unit Reactor Building fire detection-s stem Zone 14 instrumentation was declared inoperable ( control panel silenced 1on October 16,1990, due to spurious fire alarms. This zone monitors the 117-Foot elevation of the building, i

' On October 30, 1990,- the fourteen day time frame of this LCO was exceeded. A Work Request / Job Order; WR/JO] has been initiated- to investigate and resolve any ,

s problems to which t e' subject fire alarms could be attributed.

Until-return of the fire detection instrumentation to service and' cancellation 1

- of-the LCO, an hourly fire watch patrol, as required by Technical Specifications, 4

- will remain in effect.
