Narrative Summary of Operations ,

October 1993 i

i The cycle 9-10 refueling outage continued through the month of October.

The following major safety related maintenance was performed during the month of October:

1. Perfonned miscellaneous corrective and preventive maintenance on the diesel generators. Work began on the 2C diesel generator as part of the station  !

black-out rnodification.

2. Defueled the reactor. Completed visual inspections of the fuel. Visual i inspections during the core offload revealed three damaged fuel assemblics.

The core war. redesigned to exclude the damaged fuel. Started refueling, but it was not completed during the month.

3. Inspected various safety related check valves and motor operated valves.
4. Functionally tested various mechanical and hydraulic snubbers. Some pipe supports were modified and some snubbers were replaced.  ;
5. Performed various local leak rate test.s (LLRTs). ,
