Grand Gulf Nuclear Station Unit 1 Docket No. 50-416 License No. NPF-29 Withdrawal of PC0L-88/16 AECM-90/0121 Entergy Operations, Inc. submitted by letter dated August 31, 1988 (AECM-88/0177) and March 24, 1989 (AECM-89/0058), a proposed amendment to the i Grand Gulf Nuclear Station (GGNS) Operating License along with supplemental '
information to support the amendment request. The proposed amendment would delete certain test, vent and drain (TVD) valves from Technical Specification Table 3.6.4-1. The Technical Specification testing requirements for TVD l valves would be replaced with an administrative leakage control pro {, ram which would ensure the leak tight integrity of these TVD valves.
It is currently our understanding that the containment isolation valve listing of Table 3.6.4-1 will be relocated from the Technical Specifications as part of the Technical Specifications Improvement Program (TSIP). Since GGNS is a lead plant participant in the TSIP, Entergy Operations is willing to e forgo the immediate relief sought after in the proposed amendment request.
Therefore, by this letter, Entergy Operations hereby withdraws the proposed amendment request submitted in AECM-88/0177 as supplemented by AECM-89/0056.
