. Docket Nos. 50-313 and 50-368 License Nos. DPR-51 and NPF-6 Proposed Revision to ANO Industrial Security Plan Gentlemen:
-As an outgrowth of AP&L's security perimeter improvement project, described in our response to Inspection Report 87-31, AP&L has identified changes to the Arkansas Nuclear One ( ANO) Industrial Security Plan (ISP) that can be made following modifications to the facility. which will eliminate the need
.to protect as vital certain areas of the plant. The proposed revisions to the AND ISP and supporting documentation for this change request are attached.- AP&L has evaluated these. changes in accordance with 10CFR50.54(p) and has determined the change should be processed under the provisions of 10CFR50.90. Accordingly, AP&L has evaluated the proposed changes using the criteria in 10CFR50.92(c) and has determined that said changes involve no significant hazards consideration. The bases for this determination is also attached.
Physical modifications to the facility will be required prior to
' implementation of the proposed changes. We, therefore, request that the amendment become effective upon implementation of these modifications.
The attached material describes current.and. proposed security measures, therefore, AP&L has determined that the attached documentation contains safeguards i Jormation as specified by 10CFR73.21. The attached documentation should therefore be handled appropriately.
