s " - a _ m Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant Unit 1 Narrative Summary of Operations APitiL 1994 The cycle 12-13 refueling outage continued into the month of April. The reactor was taken critical on 4-22-94 at 1550. The unit was synchronized to the grid at 1311 on 4-24-94.

The following major safety related maintenance was performed during the month:

1. Completed various plant design changes.

2. Performed miscellaneous corrective and preventive maintenance on the diesel generators. Completed the modification for the 2C D/G as part of the Station Black Out design.
3. Completed inspection of various safety related check valves and motor operated valves. l I
4. Completed inspection of various mechanical and hydraulic snubbers.
5. Reassembled the reactor, filled and vented the RCS, established initial reactor criticality and perfoimed low power physics testing.
