Inservice inspection Hydrostatic Test Program Relief from System Pressure Test Requirements

Dear Sirs:

This letter transmits the results of the of the Inservice inspection Hydrostatic Test Program for Class 2 and 3 systems conducted during the first 10 year inspection interval. These tests were conducted in accordance with the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code,1974 Edition through n Summer 1975 Addenda.. The Authority requests relief for those systems and/or components for which testing in accordance with the 1974 Edition through Summer 1975 Addenda of the Code is 1i mpractical. These hydrostatic relief requests, previously discussed in verbal communications 1with the NRC, are contained in Attachment I to the Inservice Inspection Report.

. . Relief is also being requested for the second 10-year inspection interval for those hydrostatic

' relief requests contained in Attachment I which apply to the second.10-year interval. The code of

, record for the second 10-year inspection interval is the 1980 Edition through Winter 198t

Addenda.

Attachment il to the Inservice inspection Report provides the justification for deletion of the Class ll-Augmented nitrogen / air systems from the inservice inspection program. These systems

- were inadvertently included in the original scope of the inservice inspection program and have 3
