The intent cf this =eeting veuld have teen tc assist the :3R in the ec=pletien of its evaluation and apprcval of the design concept en a tine-table which veuld suppert cur construction schedule. C Februa y 12, 1931, the Staff advised us of their remaining concerns and suggested that these could be decu=ented and resolved without the necessity of a meeting.

The attached Enclosure represents a ec=plete respense to the nine (9) cuestions verbally ccnveyed to us by the Staff. It is cur expectatien that these respenses vill allev the :iRR to ec=plete its evaluation and provide the :3C's Region III Office with an approval of the design cencept. If the :33 does find the =cdified ,

suppert cencept acceptable, we are prepared to implement this sa=e modification en both Unit 1 and Unit 2. This should relieve any 33 concerns en the acceptability of the Unit 2 reactor vessel anchor bolts.

In crier to support our eenstruction schedule, :!ER's apcroval to the Region III Office vould be appreciated by March 1,1931.
