Dear Mr. Shea:

By letter dated May 21, 2019 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML19155A047), Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA, the applicant) submitted an approval (-A) version of the subject Topical Report (TR), TVA Overall Basin Probable Maximum Precipitation and Local Intense Precipitation Analysis, Calculation CDQ0000002016000041, Revision 1, to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff.

TVA has done so in accordance with our request to publish approval proprietary and non-proprietary versions of this TR, as detailed in the transmittal letter dated March 12, 2019, of the NRC staffs final safety evaluation (ADAMS Accession No. ML19010A212) for this TR.

The NRC staff has completed its review of the approval version of the TR. The NRC staff verified that TVA has met the requirements and determined that the submitted -A versions are acceptable for referencing in licensing applications for nuclear power plants to the extent specified and under the limitations and conditions delineated in the accepted versions of this TR.
