GPU Nuclear, Inc. hereby confirms that a nuclear property insurance policy is provided by Nuclear Electric Insurance Limited for the amount listed below.

• By letter dated July 21, 1999, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) approved an exemption from the amount of insurance coverage stated in 10 CFR 50.54(w).
