Dear Sir or Madam:

In Reference 1, Entergy Operations, Inc. (Entergy) submitted an application for renewal of the operating license for River Bend Station (RBS) for an additional 20 years beyond the current expiration date. In Reference 2, updated fluence values were provided for the license renewal application that were based on GEH calculation 003N2078 Revision 1. The purpose of this letter is to provide notification that an error has been identified in GEH calculation 003N2078 Revision 1. This error has been evaluated using the corrective action program and the values provided in Reference 2 remain applicable and the values in the license renewal application are not changing .

The error was the entering of 2.0861 rather than 2.8061 as the EFPY for combined operating cycles 10 and 11. This is an error of 0.72 EFPY. The calculation for fluence at the end of the period of extended operation included a 10% margin for future operating cycles. This 10%

factor for future operating cycles resulted in an effective margin of 2.866 EFPY in the total fluence projected through the end of the period of extended operation . Because the identified error is less than the available margin, the values provided in the license renewal application remain valid. Therefore, the fluence values in the license renewal application are not changing and no change is necessary for the evaluation of fluence effects on the reactor vessel and the reactor vessel internals.
