Form of Depleted Uranium needed Discussion:

I discussed with Mr. Brown that placing an additional 60 Kg on to the current authorization for natural and depleted uranium would make the license to require financial assurance for Part 40 materials. Mr. Brown said that he needed solid depleted uranium and only the filings from cutting the depleted uranium would be dispersible and that could be added placed under the "powder" section of the current authorization without asking to be licensed for more material. He requested an additional line item of depleted uranium solid form for 60 Kg to support this new research.

Action Required:

Add 60 Kg, solid to the license.
