05000461/2018091," dated February 22, 2018 (ADAMS Accession No. ML18053A851)

In the referenced letter, Exelon Generation Company, LLC (EGC) was informed that a finding associated with the failure to correct a degraded condition identified as a result of the Division 3 Service Water (SX) pump failure in 2014 is appropriately characterized as White, a finding of low to moderate safety significance. As a result, the NRC assessed the Clinton Power Station to be in the Regulatory Response column of the NRC's Action Matrix (Column 2), effective the fourth quarter of 2017.

Because of being assessed in the Regulatory Response Column of the NRC's Action Matrix, the NRC informed EGC of their plans to conduct a supplemental inspection using Inspection Procedure 95001, "Supplemental Inspection Response to Action Matrix Column 2 Inputs,"

(IP 95001) when EGC's staff had notified the NRC of its readiness for this inspection.

This letter serves as notification of EGC's readiness for a supplemental inspection using NRC IP 95001 at the Clinton Power Station as requested by the referenced letter.
